How do I calculate a discount?

Multiply the price by the discount percentage and take that off. For example, 15% off Rs. 1,000 is Rs. 150, so you pay Rs. 850.

How do I find the discount percentage from two prices?

Switch the discount to Rs., enter the original price and the rupees taken off. The calculator shows the discount as a percentage. Or divide the saving by the original price and multiply by 100.

Are two discounts the same as adding them up?

No. 10% off and then another 10% off is 19% off in total, not 20%, because the second discount is taken from the already-reduced price.
